What can I say everyone who we encountered were extremely helpful kind and sweet also went the extra mile to please us. I cannot fault anything from everyone who we met. Past two weeks has been extremely hard for us regarding mrs c section and having to move around a lot but everyone did everything their power to help us be comfortable. From NNU, Jon Brooker ward everyone was amazing Vennessa, Mel, Sarah, Ellie, Kim, Katie, Kasey, Rebecca, Joe, Lydia, Alice, Mae, special thanks to you guys as if it wasn’t for you all I wouldn’t know which way to go... My apologies as there are few more names but struggle to remember but we will never forget you faces. Also would like to add special thanks to Laura not sure which department she was in something community department I think, anyway we never met however he was like an angel because when I was all alone running around at St George’s she called me and helped me all over the phone by calling everyone around with me having to ask for help. I mean seriously I was so surprised to see How amazing NHS really is despite silly sayings of nhs not being good. Well from now on with our experience we can definitely speak out say shut up they are amazing

We struggled to understand what would be happening due to the Coronavirus restrictions. Often advice we were given was contradicted by the next shift, and in particular we struggled with the fact that there was little communication between Joan Booker and NICU when Mum was downstairs and baby upstairs. For example, we did not know that Joan Booker wanted to discharge mum until they asked us whether we were ready to leave, when NICU wanted us near to help establish breast feeding. All the NICU staff were exemplary; kind, polite and and we know that all issues were all caused by the exceptional circumstances. Finally being able to room in was a godsend and the facilities were excellent.

The NICU staff have for the most part been entirely wonderful. A couple of times they have been super busy and stretched and we haven’t been able to get hold of bottles etc, or haven’t managed to come and do obs on time etc but nothing major, and they have almost all been fabulous, wonderful with the babies and ever so supportive of me. Thank you!

Baby and I received excellent care whilst in NICU and TC. Staff were very caring and accommodating despite the coronavirus restrictions.
